Msgr. Mark Pierce was born in La Crosse, WI, and received an MA Liturgical Studies from St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN (1981), and was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of La Crosse in the same year. He served as associate pastor in parishes in Chippewa Falls and Stevens Point, before being sent for further studies in the area of Sacred Scripture at the Weston School of Theology in Cambridge, MA, where he received an STL in 1990. He has served as pastor at Newman University Parish in Stevens Point and Roncalli Newman Parish in La Crosse, and currently serves as the pastor of The Parish of Notre Dame in Chippewa Falls. Msgr. Mark was one of the organizers behind the Diocesan School of Biblical Studies in the Diocese at its formation in 1995, and continues to serves as an instructor in the Chippewa Falls area and the coordinator of the whole program.
Msgr. Mark has written reviews for Worship and Liturgy 90, an article for Ephemerides Liturgicae, and I’m Glad You Asked: 60 Common Questions Catholics Have about the Bible (St. Mary’s Press, 2008).

Dr. Michael Lopez-Kaley an Associate Professor of Religious Studies at Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI. He has enjoyed his classes at Viterbo University, after spending five years at Quincy University in Quincy, IL. His specialization is Systematic Theology, including Christian Morality and Christian Marriage. He also teaches the introductory course, and has taught Scripture courses. Before attaining his PhD from Marquette University, he spent 17 years in parish ministry, including directing Religious Education and counseling. Michael lives in La Crosse with his wife of 30+ years, Vicki. They have two grown daughters, one, a news reporter for a television station in Green Bay, WI, the other in graduate school for an advanced degree in Music Therapy.
Dr. Lopez-Kaley's dissertation is entitled, “The Private World as Alienated,” and focuses on the Catholic Church’s economic teaching in an individualistic society. He contributed a chapter on “Morality” in the textbook “Christian Theology: Scripture, Tradition, and Practice, and co-wrote “Beyond Sunday School: Affirming Faith, Challenging Knowledge in the College Classroom” in the annual for the College Theology Society.

Adam Koester was born in Woodruff, WI and attended Viterbo University in La Crosse, WI for his undergraduate degree in Religious Studies and Philosophy. Following his undergraduate, Adam received his Master's Degree in Theology with an emphasis in Scripture from St John's University in Collegeville, MN . He has taught undergraduate level classes at Viterbo University as an Adjunct Professor in both Religious Studies and Philosophy. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse and currently works as a Scrum Master and QA Engineer at Satori Software in La Crosse, WI. He currently lives in Stevens Point, WI with his wife, Andrea, and their two small children.
